Today's agricultural news (January 10): Coffee prices decreased by 700 VND/kg compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 96,800 and 97,500 VND/kg; pepper prices remained stable at a high level; the rice market generally showed little change compared to yesterday.

* Coffee pricesToday, prices in the Central Highlands provinces saw a slight decrease, currently fluctuating around 96,800 - 97,500 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, coffee is being purchased at 97,500 VND/kg. In Dak Lak, the price of coffee today is 97,300 VND/kg.

In Gia Lai province, the price of coffee today is 97,200 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of coffee in Quang Ngai province is also being purchased at 97,200 VND/kg.

On the world market, Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange for January 2026 delivery fell by $32/ton to $4,075/ton; and for March 2026 delivery fell by $25/ton to $3,903/ton.

On the New York exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for March 2026 delivery fell by 14.7 cents/lb to 357.65 cents/lb; and for May 2026 delivery fell by 12.95 cents/lb to 339.9 cents/lb.

* Pepper pricesPrices remained stable around 150,000 - 152,500 VND/kg in many key growing regions.

In Dak Lak province today, pepper is being purchased at 152,500 VND/kg. In Lam Dong province, the price of pepper is also being purchased at 152,500 VND/kg.

In Gia Lai province, the price of pepper today is 151,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, in Dong Nai, the price of pepper is also 151,000 VND/kg. In Ho Chi Minh City, the price of pepper is 151,500 VND/kg.

On the world market, according to the International Pepper Association (IPC), pepper prices are showing mixed trends among major producing countries. Specifically, Indonesian black pepper prices in the most recent trading session decreased slightly by 0.09%, equivalent to $16/ton, to $6,730/ton.

Conversely, Vietnam's export black pepper prices recorded a notable increase, with both 500 g/l and 550 g/l black pepper grades rising by $100/ton, currently fluctuating between $6,600 and $6,800/ton. This development indicates that demand for Vietnamese pepper, especially in the high-quality segment, remains stable. In other major producing countries, pepper prices generally showed little fluctuation.

* Rice pricesToday, the market remained stable in key production regions. Slow trading and lackluster exports kept the market in a sideways trend.

According to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of fresh OM 18 rice ranges from 6,500 - 6,700 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) ranges from 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) ranges from 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) ranges from 6,500 - 6,700 VND/kg; OM 34 rice (fresh) ranges from 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; and OM 4218 rice ranges from 6,000 - 6,200 VND/kg.

Similarly, regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province and Vietnam Rice, the current prices are as follows: Dai Thom 8 rice ranges from 8,800 to 8,900 VND/kg; IR 504 export rice ranges from 7,600 to 7,800 VND/kg; OM 5451 export rice ranges from 8,150 to 8,300 VND/kg; Soc Thom export rice ranges from 7,500 to 7,600 VND/kg; CL 555 export rice ranges from 7,340 to 7,450 VND/kg; OM 380 export rice ranges from 7,200 to 7,300 VND/kg; and OM 18 export rice ranges from 8,500 to 8,600 VND/kg. The price of finished IR 504 rice ranges from 9,500 to 9,700 VND/kg.

On the export market, Vietnamese rice prices continue to remain stable. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), Jasmine rice is being offered at around 446-450 USD/ton, while 5% broken white rice is at 364-368 USD/ton.
