From Grain to Ground: Standing with Our People
The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) is mobilizing the strength of the rice industry through Operation AID – Action in Disaster, to respond to the devasting effects of the recent earthquake. MRF Operation AID is a coordinated initiative to provide immediate and long-term support to earthquake-affected areas.
We are calling on all rice millers, traders, exporters, members and friends of MRF to cooperate with us. As a first step, MRF had allocated 1500 million MMK to support the rescue and rebuilding efforts and has planned to distribute 300,000 bags of 15% Emata rice bags at affordable prices (65,000 – 70,000 MMK/bag) – to critical zones.
We respectfully request:
- Participation in rice donation or discounted supply
- Cash or in-kind contributions
- Local volunteer or transport support
