The new Chairman of the Vietnam Food Association (VFA) said that he will try to do his best for the common benefit of exporters, producers and processors, and the expectations of all farmers for the food industry in the domestic and foreign markets.
On the morning of March 21, 2025, the Vietnam Food Association (VFA) held a congress to re-elect the Executive Committee for the 9th term (2024-2029). The congress elected 23 members of the association's Executive Committee, including 5 standing members of the Executive Committee.
The VFA Standing Committee members unanimously elected Mr. Do Ha Nam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Intimex Group, to the position of VFA Chairman.
Sharing at the congress, the new President of VFA Do Ha Nam said: “I understand that working in the food industry is very difficult. I witnessed the previous Presidents of VFA working hard. And to complete that task is not easy. Because it is not only completing the work but also the responsibility to the farmers and the responsibility to the country. Therefore, every bad job will affect the farmers and that is the suffering for those who are in charge of the Association.”
Mr. Nam added: “So when I was assigned this task, I felt a bit of pressure and was in an unavoidable situation. In response to the Association’s expectations, I try to do my best for the common benefit of exporters, of those working in production and processing, and the expectations of all farmers for the food industry in the domestic and foreign markets.”
According to Mr. Do Ha Nam, the image of Vietnam's food industry is currently very beautiful in the international market.
“Therefore, our responsibility as successors is to try our best to do better. To meet the expectations and sentiments of the previous Presidents. We hope that VFA will always unite, create more values, and make the Vietnamese food industry always develop and become better and better in the global market,” the new President of VFA emphasized.
