The British Embassy in Cambodia has hailed two local rice producers for winning international honours at the Great Taste Awards 2026 in the United Kingdom, underscoring the expanding global footprint of the nation’s agricultural exports.
In a statement released yesterday, the embassy welcomed the milestone, attributing the success partly to the UK Trade Partnerships (UKTP) programme.
Primalis Corporation Ltd earned recognition for its Cambodian Premium Jasmine Rice, with judges praising its subtle sweetness and complex flavour. Khmer Foods Group also secured accolades for its Kroya Phka Romduol Jasmine Rice and Kroya Fragrant Rice, both commended for superior taste.
Diplomats noted that the achievements validate the impact of equipping local firms to navigate competitive international markets. The accolades are expected to elevate Cambodia’s profile as a premier agricultural producer, boosting export growth and cementing the country’s reputation in international food markets.
