Pakistan has secured an additional 70,000 metric tons of rice exports to Malaysia, marking another step in efforts to expand the country’s agricultural exports and open new international markets for Pakistani produce.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the efforts of the government team involved in securing the additional rice export opportunity, calling the development significant for farmers and the national economy.
The prime minister commended the efforts of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar as well as the ministers and secretaries of food Security and commerce for helping secure the additional export volume.
He said the export of another 70,000 metric tons of Pakistani rice was a significant milestone for the prosperity of farmers and the strengthening of the national economy.
Focus on expanding global markets
PM Sharif said expanding access to international markets for Pakistani agricultural products remained a top priority for the government.
He said the government would continue working to increase agricultural exports and provide Pakistani farmers and producers with greater access to overseas markets.
The prime minister reiterated that Pakistan would continue its journey towards export-led economic growth through sustained hard work and efforts to expand international trade.
