So far, 72,700 tonnes of rice have already arrived as part of the agreement
A vessel named "MV THAI BINH 01", carrying 12,500 tonnes of sunned (Atap) rice from Vietnam under the Government-to-Government (G2G) agreement, has arrived at Chattogram Port.
According to a PID press release issued today (19 April), a total of 100,000 tonnes of Atap rice is being imported from Vietnam under the G2G agreement.
So far, 72,700 tonnes of rice have already arrived as part of the agreement.
Meanwhile, sample testing of the rice on board the ship has been completed.
The release added that necessary measures have been taken to begin the unloading process.
