MANILA, Philippines — The retail price of local rice remains cheaper compared to the imported grains nearly two months after Executive Order 62 took effect, according to latest monitoring of the Department of Agriculture (DA).
The government through the Ministry of Food and Agriculture has placed a ban on the exportation of maize, rice and soya beans to sustain the Ghanaian market.

KAKINADA: Civil supplies minister Nadendla Manohar said the state government has seized 26,000 metric tonnes of rice belonging to the public distribution system (PDS) at the Kakinada Port from consignments meant for exports.
