No price hike in rice, vegetable prices after damage caused by typhoons

13 August 2026

Agricultural commodities, especially rice, are not expected to increase. This was stated by the Agriculture Department following the onslaught of two typhoons and the southwest monsoon. However, the agriculture department says the volume of agricultural products lost from the two typhoons is just a very small fraction.
