Agricultural commodities, especially rice, are not expected to increase. This was stated by the Agriculture Department following the onslaught of two typhoons and the southwest monsoon. The total damage to the agricultural sector has reached over 197 million pesos. The largest portion of this was from rice fields, followed by vegetables and other high-value crops. However, the agriculture department says the volume of agricultural products lost from the two typhoons is just a very small fraction.
