JAKARTA: Indonesia’s rice output in 2025 rose 13.3% on a yearly basis amid favourable weather, data from the country’s statistics bureau showed on Monday, with production in the first quarter of this year expected to remain strong.

Rice output last year stood at 34.69 million metric tons, the bureau’s data showed.
Output of the staple in the January to March period of 2026 was predicted to reach 10.16 million tons, up 15.8% on a yearly basis.
