YANGON: To stabilise rice prices, the Myanmar Rice Federation has announced prices for each type of rice sold through home delivery.
The Myanmar Rice Federation and the Myanmar Rice Traders Association have announced that they will start selling rice to consumers through a home delivery system based on rice types to stabilise rice prices.
The rice to be sold is 108 pounds per 24-pound bag.
The prices for each type of rice are as follows: Shwebo Paosan 180,000 kyats per bag (old rice), Ayeyarwady Paosan (Kyaapyan) 150,000 kyats per bag (old rice), Ayeyarwady Paosan (Kyaapyan) 130,000 kyats per bag (new rice), Ayeyarwady Paosan (Nel Soh) 125,000 kyats per bag (old rice), Ayeyarwady Paosan (Nel Soh) 115,000 kyats per bag (new rice), 90-day (75,000 kyats per bag, and Ghysma Hta (15 points) 50,000 kyats per bag.
Consumers are required to contact the Myanmar Rice Federation's phone numbers: 09-400067240, 09-400067250, 09-400067260 during office hours and send an SMS or Viber message with the type of rice they want to order, their home address, and contact phone number.
The KBZ pay number to be used to make a prepayment to the Federation from these phone numbers will be immediately sent back to the consumer or buyer.
Payments should only be made to the KBZ pay account numbers provided by these phones. Payment completion must be confirmed via Viber.
The Myanmar Rice Federation announced that the rice will be delivered free of charge to the address provided within three business days from the date of payment.
The delivery date and time will be communicated in advance. If the rice needs to be delivered to a higher floor, an additional service fee will be charged. - Eleven Media/ANN
