Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir officially inaugurated Wahyu Suparyono as the president director (dirut) of Perum Bulog. Previously, Wahyu was the President Director of PT Asabri (Persero).

Wahyu Suparyono replaces Bayu Krisnamurthi who held the position of Bulog's president director for only 10 months, precisely from December 2023 to September 2024.

Wahyu will begin his tenure at Bulog with Deputy President Director Marga Taufiq and Sudarsono Hardjosoekarto as Director of Human Capital.

Wahyu Suparyono studied as a Bachelor of Accounting from the State Accountancy College in 1990. Then continued his Master of Management degree from the IPWI College of Economics in 1997. Then studied as a Doctor of Management Science at Brawijaya University in 2014.

The Magelang-born man has served in leadership positions at various state-owned companies. Before returning to Perum Bulog, he served as President Director of PT Asabri (Persero).

He also served as President Director of PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) from June 16, 2014 to June 7, 2015.

Then as Director of Operations and Public Services, Perum BULOG from June 8, 2015 to July 31, 2016. As the Main Commissioner of PT Jasa Prima Logistik (JPL) BULOG from December 8, 2015 to June 6, 2018,

Then he became the Director of Human Resources and General Affairs of Perum BULOG from August 1, 2016 to November 27, 2017. He also served as the President Director of PT Dok and Perkapalan Kodja Bahari (Persero) from December 14, 2017 to July 17, 2020.

Erick also appointed Major General TNI (ret.) Marga Taufiq as deputy president director. Changes also occurred in the position of human capital director from Purnomo Sinar Hadi to Sudarsono Hardjosoekarto.

Before serving as deputy director of Perum Bulog, Marga was a Special Staff of the Defense Resources Potential Development Foundation (YPPSDP) of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia. He once served as Deputy Commander of the Army Territorial Center and Commander of the XVI/Pattimura Military Command.

Previously, Marga was a subordinate of the 2024-2029 president-elect Prabowo Subianto while serving at the Army Strategic Command (Kostrad). Prabowo served as Commander of Kostrad in 1998. Meanwhile, Marga served as Kasilat Sops Divif-1 Kostrad.

Marga also joined the East Timor Operation Seroja troops in 1987. Operation Seroja was led by Prabowo.
